3 Ways: Thrifted Accents to Complete A Look With Joyfolie

I haven't written a blog post in what feels like ages, and I miss it. I miss being able to express myself in a different outlet than on my Instagram and my stories I post. So, when Joyfolie reached out and offered to send me one of their boho dresses that they're known for, I couldn't pass it up.

As you may know, I'm an avid thrifter and a majority of my favorites pieces in my closet are secondhand. But, there are certain items I will buy new and those tend to be closet must-haves or an item to base a look around, this Joyfolie dress is just that. So, to show you guys just how versatile this dress is and how you can complete a look with thrifted pieces if you're on a budget like me, or thrifting to be earth-friendly, here are 3 different options but the possibilities are seriously endless.

LOOK ONE: Casual

Obviously bad tees have made their come back, but there's something so gratifying about searching through the mens tee shirt racks and finding that one of a kind vintage gem. I believe I spent $0.99 on this vintage Goo Goo Dolls tee, such a steal compared to the overpriced ones you can buy online or in store. I paired the Joyfolie dress over the tee and accessorized it with a chunky gold necklace, also thrifted.

The vintage Coach purse I paired with this look is probably one of my favorite thrift finds to date. She's perfectly worn in and the leather is so soft. Topped it off with a hat and some cheetah print slip ons for a casual yet cute errand running look.

LOOK TWO: Dressed Up

When it comes to longer, maxi length dresses you can easily dress it up or down or wear it day to night, which is probably why I love them so much.

When it comes to this look I'm ALWAYS looking for one excuse to wear this jacket. It is seriously my favorite jacket I've ever thrifted. I can't remember its exact price but it was definitely under $10, such as steal! I paired the jacket and dress with a vintage, again thrifted, chain belt to finish up the look. Simple yet definitely date night worthy.

LOOK THREE: Beachin' I
Since moving to Florida in the beginning of June I am always looking for items I can stay cool in, this heat and humidity living near the beach is no joke let me tell ya. During the day I avoid any heavy, thicker material pieces when outdoors but the AC is always blasting inside stores, restaurants, etc. so a layer is needed! Also when night time rolls around and the temp drops I always bring a jacket, in this case I paired the dress with a thrifted & vintage Levis denim jacket. It is slightly oversized and perfect to tom-boy up a more feminine look. For purses I wanted to keep the neutral, straw tones so I paired it with this woven straw bag I thrifted a few months ago as the trend was really taking off.

Thank you for Joyfolie for challenging me to shop my own closet and sparking my creativity, as well as for this dress you will all be definitely seeing more of since it's my new fav.
